Hustler is one of the leading power equipment brands, producing quality residential and commercial equipment from Zero-Turns, pressure washers, generators, and UTVs. The company was founded in 1974 by John Regier. Regier had recognized the need for a commercially available mower that was agile and able to maneuver across difficult terrain. He set to work creating the first zero-turn radius mower. The mower grew in popularity and Regier was unable to meet demand, so he brought his design to Excel Industries. Under the guidance of Roy Mullet, Excel accelerated production at its plant in  Hesston, Kansas. Today, Excel Industries is still manufacturing Hustler equipment in Texas.
